Samarkand, Restaurant - Bangalore.

Samarkand (Afghan style food)

Food - Excellent, go atleast once.
Service - Good.
Price - Very High.
Ambience - Excellent.
Seatings - Ok.
Location - Gem Plaza Infantry Road (Quite close to Safina Plaza)

Special Features -

1. The interiors of the restaurant is Amazing, rough stony floorings and walls, flame like torches, the glory of Afghan is well depicted on the walls through classy paintings.

2. The Menu you will find it hard to even understand that :-)

Samarkand offers a wide variety of rare Afghani and Peshawari delicacies, exotic tandoors, kebabs, irresistible biriyanis.
The drinks section has an exciting range of cocktails and mocktails and there are no non smoking areas.

The ambience is amazing, i dont think you would have experienced anything like that before, right from the person who serves you to the glass has some afghan touch to it.
The atmosphere is just a bit dim, so your eyes will take some time to get asjusted to it, seats are touch uncomfortable, the satff are a bit rude, the food is so delicious you tend to ignore everything.

How can i forget about the menu card when i first read it, honestly speaking i didnt knew it was a menu card, i mean you can't recognise, its like a newsapaper. Belive me i didn't even one menu items wriiten in the card, i had take the help of the waiter to understand it.
The order will take sometime to come, by the mean time you can take couple of drink and enjoy the atmosphere.
Price.. well around 800 for two, thats high but its worth a place to go for some special occasion, go experince the difference.
