All of you might have heard of this and many of them would have visited once at least. I would say this is the best restaurant in Bangalore. Want to hang out with friends, taking your girlfriend out, you cant ask for a better place than this. The ambience is excellent, love the music they play there, far far better than any other restaurant and the service I felt like a celebrity. I don't know if I am hyping it too much but I am absolutely in love with it.

Coming to Food the best part, bring on the garlic prawns Delicious!! I don't know how many of them I had. Crab curry, tandoor items the desserts, boy its a feast. Just Hog Hog Hog and have a great time. Some of my friends say they do have lobsters sometime, check it out.

700 bucks for a weekend dinner, is it worth it ? Absolutely YES, you can go Hungry as well they have enough to fill you up :).

Go for it fellows, its worth every penny you spend. You cant get better FOOOOOD than this. I am in love with it.

FOOD FOOD FOOD LOVE IT!!!! You are hungry let's Hog :) One of those restaurants where you can just walk in and you know you will never be disappointed with the quality of food, the ambience or the service.

Every time I have been here I just add a dish to my favorite list. The best part even my Mom who is an amazing cook by herself was showering praises for the mutton chops she had there. I have heard from many of my friends the mutton dishes here taste excellent. My favorite mutton Shorba. I couldn't stop at just having one. Yummy!!! Fish, chicken whatever I have had till now, I always wanted more. I feel so damn heavy after every meal here :(.

I have also had Buffet couple of times here, my colleagues love to come here, you have a lot of options both Veg and Non-Veg, infact if you are a Veggie it is one of the must visit places.

If you are looking for a restaurant don't think twice. I can assure you will not be disappointed.

Khansama

Khansama

Food - Excellent
Service - Good
Price - High
Ambiance - Excellent
Seating's - Good
Location - UB City

I love this place, the food, ambience, service you cant get better than this. If there is something called default restaurant this would be mine.

The best buffet you can get in the town, normally I don't go for veg starters but I couldn't resist over here. If I remember right there were 3-4 veg starters and 2-3 non veg starters you cant for ask more than that. They charge 450-500 for the buffet and its worth every penny. The salads, chats, deserts and it goes on, all in all its one of the best.

A la Carte  menu look expensive, Movie stars come here, In fact they have a separate place for them. The ambience, the service the high quality of food, you really feel special. Go take a walk around UB city, check out Mr Vijay Mallya's pent house and make a note of all the restaurants around and block your calendar. Let your kids get wet in the mini fountains and enjoy the night. Isn't it worth it ?

Do check out for fish tikka, love it. Liquor is obviously expensive. I would go to the F1 bar downstairs and then hit the restaurant, gives you that extra time to catch up with your partner and then its time to hog.

Do let me know if you find something really interesting I wouldn't want to miss it when I am there next time.

Autumn/Pit Stop Jayamahal palace

Autumn/Pit Stop

Food - Very Good
Service - Good
Price - High
Ambiance - Excellent
Seating's - Good
Location - Inside Jayamahal palace, Benson Town

Special Features - The garden restaurant, it is very spacious and you are away from all the Bangalore traffic, everyone just loves the environment out there.

Autumn/Pit stop whatever you call it, they serve at both places, pit stop is actually a coffee shop and autumn is the garden restaurant. Not many people know that there exists a restaurant inside the palace.

Well first the palace itself is very well spread out, it’s quite huge and since the restaurant is located in the centre you are away from all the traffic and noises which creates a completely different environment. Well there is a catch to this normally marriages are held outside the palace and you can expect a lot of noise at this time, some people tend to avoid this places whenever there is a marriage held, but if you get a place on the other side of the restaurant you should be fine.

Don’t worry about parking you have the whole palace for it :-).

Coming to food they serve Indian and Chinese cuisine and till now I have never been disappointed with the quality of food, except for the chicken biryani somehow it lacks the punch, i like the tandoor stuff they  really do prepare them good. You might feel the prices are on a higher side but that’s the worth just for the ambience.

So go for it to atleast experience the change and i bet if you are going with your family you would love it. You are lucky if there are no marriages held.

Malgudi Restaurant Residency Road

Malgudi

Food - Very Good
Service - Good
Price - High
Ambience - Good
Seating - Good
Location - Residency Road, take the road opposite to Taj Gateway hotel.

Special Features - They Serve Karnataka Style, Tamilnadu Style, Andhra Style, Kerala Style very much a total south package :-)

Oh u get this here, well thats the first thought that runs through your mind when you first look at the menu, there are few entries in the menu card which will take you by surprise, something your mom used to prepare and u never expected it to be on any hotel's menu card. So if you are away from home and want to try something very local or want to try really different stuff from other states, I would say go for it, it was really nice to go through menu card itself :-)

I being from Bangalore when I went through other state's menu card, believe me I didn't get one, In fact I couldn't pronounce them properly. I don't even remember the name of the chicken curry we ordered.
The food tastes really good,  there are 5 categories in the menu card.
1. Malgudi.
2. Karnataka Style
3. TamilNadu Style
4. Andhra Style.
5. Kerala Style.

Believe me they are very much local to the respective states and I don't think u would have tasted them. They have picked some top class home made food stuff which are very rare to get outside, even if you get they lack quality.

I really cant describe much on the food because I don;t remember the names :-), I took Neer Dosa and a chicken curry from tamilnadu style and few starters, they tasted really good.

If you are away from home or you want to try something very much local day to day stuff which you don't get in any restaurants this is the place to be.

Go taste the difference. If my mom comes to know how much I paid for what I had out there, she is going to belt me for sure :-).

Rice Bowl lavelle road

Rice Bowl

Food - :-(.
Service - Good.
Price - Reasonable.
Ambiance - Good.
Seating's - Good.
Location - As soon you enter Lavelle road from MG road you will find the chancery hotel, keep going straight on the right side you have rice bowl.

Special Features - Nothing Exciting.

Rice bowl not one of the best but they do serve very good Chinese food, this is what i had learnt about it before visiting and i never knew i was going to regret for being out there.

The ambiance is good, its mostly family crowd, the placement of the table's is excellent.

Food, well my experience was horrifying, honestly i didn't find anything exciting out there, chicken lollipop, phad Thai noodles (One of the special items on the menu), Schezwan Chicken fried rice, Malaysian flat noodles one word we couldn't finish it, it was sick, nothing was even a bit spicy, it was very much plain, boring food. phad Thai noodles one of the special items on the menu, that's the worst thing you can order, never try that, guess what it was sweet.

I really don't know why people go there, its crowded even in the weekdays, as i said its mostly family crowd, the drinks are touch expensive, i would not really suggest you to go out there, there are a lot of better restaurants near by.

Savoury Arabic Restaurant

Savoury Arabic Restaurant

Food - Excellent.
Service - Good.
Price - Reasonable.
Ambiance - Good.
Seating's - Excellent.
Location - Mosque Road, Frazer Town.

Special Features -
They serve authentic Arabian food and they taste great.

I don't know how popular this restaurant is, but for the very first time my friend showed me this restaurant, my reaction was no no no noways, i am not going into this one. Believe me if you are concerned about ambiance even a bit, your reaction would be the same, the ground floor of the restaurant and even the look from outside is below average, its look are very much like a road side junk restaurant.

Well my friend had so much praise for the restaurant we didn't have any option, so we did go and there was a big surprise waiting for us, the first floor was air conditioned and even the looks where very good, the best part is the seatings, very very comfortable.
The crowd over here is mostly Arabic, just proving you get authentic Arabian food here.

Coming to the food they do have Indian, Chinese cuisine also, but Arabic food is what they are known for, the names of Arabian dishes did sound different but they also tasted very different, we tried Al faham diyay, well this chicken dish was roasted to perfection and you can feel the real meat just amazing feeling, i felt like i was having chicken after a long time, normally any chicken dish is over cooked or under cooked or to much of other ingredient take the taste of it, but here it was at it core best. Even the curry had a different taste very much home made, just fantastic.

There are variety of Arabian dishes, well very tough to remember the name, i would say just go and have some real meat roasted to perfection and taste very different from what you have had till today.

Don't go by the looks of the restaurant as i said its very bad, so just directly head to the first floor, you will find the difference, even the service was good and fast.

All the dishes are touch oily, especially rice items, that's the way Arabic food is :-).

Simple go for it.

Elements Restaurant - NandiDurga Road

Elements Nandi Durga Road

Food - Sizzlers/Steaks taste best
Service - Good
Ambience - Excellent
Seating - Low seats, comfortable.
Location - The restaurant is located in NandiDurga Road, couple of buildings left to airtel office.

Special Features -
Varierty of Sizzlers/Steaks and platters, hookah.

Hookah, sizzlers/Steaks and cool ambience thats what this place is known for. As soon as you enter you will find the difference, it more of a hang out place, low seats, cushions and very much a woody look.

Sizzlers taste very good,  its more of meat. I tried chicken and mushroom sizzlers, They tasted good especialy the small quantity of mushroom on big part of chicken.

The best part is you get a variety of sizzlers including beef and fish, they also have a lot of variety for veggies checkout the Veg platters.

Honestly if you are really hungry and want to have a heavy meal this is not the place to be, want to just hangout with friends in a nice ambience and want to try out something different, well this  is the place to be.

Hookah cost around 300 rs, you get in 6-7 falvours, sizzlers cost between 200-300rs.

The menu has a nice variety of drinks and cuisines and they do taste good, the best part is they serve parsee food also, which is very rare in bangalore.
